Welcome to Victory Room

The Victory Room is located in Bucklebury village. The land was conveyed to the local community in the will of Dame Nina Katherine Webley Parry Pryse, a Bucklebury resident who died in 1917. The hall building, a tin tabernacle was relocated from Frilsham to Bucklebury in 1920 and the hall was formerly opened and named 'The Victory Room' on July 7th 1920. A committee of volunteer trustees was set up to look after the Victory Room ensuring the hall was maintained for everyone's benefit.

Over the years the hall has been used for all sorts of gatherings, and in the early days, some evenings were reserved for men or women only!

Today it's used by local beavers, cubs, guides and scouts groups, art classes, sewing classes, exercise classes, as a polling station during elections, for various committee and public meetings, children's and family parties, the local football teams, church functions, entertaining events organised by the trustees, and more.

The refurbishment and extension of the old building was completed and re-opened in November 2021. The building now consists of 95 sqm hall (Remembrance Room) and a meeting room of 25 sqm which retains the feel and the history of the original Victory Room.

The Victory Room is situated adjacent to the Bucklebury Recreation Ground which can be used for a bouncy castle for a children's party in the summer. There is also a playpark for the children to use.  There is a public car park for approximately 45 cars.
